Waterstone at the Circle prides itself on being a luxury senior living community for active and independent adults. We hope that you will be a long-term member of our community, which is why we also offer services that allow you to continue living an active, independent lifestyle.
“As a community for adults age 62 and over, we understand that support can be needed every once in a while,” says Jake Quigley, Executive Director of Waterstone at the Circle. “That’s why we have developed partnerships with premier healthcare providers to create a coordinated, on-site care program for our residents. These services allow our independent living residents to remain healthy, engaged and active while receiving any assistance they might need.”
It’s just one more part of the personalized, resort-style amenities and services the Circle provides, says Jake. “Not only are these services available on-site – they’re available right in our residents’ homes, if they wish. This personalized, one-on-one support allows them to recover quickly from surgery, illness or injury and get back to the lifestyle they love.”
Here are three ways that personal care services at Waterstone at the Circle meets your every need.
1. In-Home Healthcare
When it comes to recovering after an illness or hospital stay, Dorothy had it right: there’s no place like home. Hebrew SeniorLife is a non-profit organization that provides healthcare and housing for seniors, education for senior care providers as well as research into aging. As part of their mission, they also offer home care services that bring their dedication, caring and expertise to our residents – right at home.
This completely free service provides one-on-one consultations with a Hebrew SeniorLife clinical liaison. Waterstone residents are assessed on their personal goals and individual needs, and services are recommended to help the individual maintain the highest quality of life possible. Through one-on-one consultations – and at no cost to our residents – Hebrew SeniorLife’s clinical liaison assesses individual needs and personal goals to recommend the appropriate service or combination of services to help residents maintain their overall health and well-being. Services can be performed at home, at the physician's office or even short-term rehab placement, depending on the residents’ preference. Home healthcare services are Medicare-certified and include:
- Physical, speech and occupational therapists
- Clinical liaison access
- Visiting nurses
- Palliative care
- Hospice services
- Podiatry services
2. Personal Assistance
As we age, we sometimes need a helping hand so we can continue to live the lifestyle we want and love. Through our partnership with HouseWorks Home Care, we’re able to provide residents with the personal care assistance they need. For more than 20 years, HouseWorks has been transforming the way in-home care is delivered to seniors, and we’re pleased to be another chapter in their successful story.
Our on-site Care Coordinator responds quickly to requests for personal care assistance, and can even schedule-same day visits. Services that are provided include:
- Mobility assistance
- A companion to help run errands or take you to medical appointments
- Medication management
- Grooming and personal care assistance
3. Physician and Medical Care
When you need assistance with medical issues, look no further than your front door. Waterstone at the Circle has partnered with the Boston Internists to bring quality healthcare to our residents’ doorsteps. The Boston Internists, a division of Weston Primary Care, is dedicated to caring for seniors in their own home. Instead of residents going to them, they come to our residents.
Doctors Timothy Murphy and Maryann Murphy provide a variety of services, including wellness check-ups, blood work and normal in-office procedures. They each have more than two decades’ experience caring for senior adults and understand the many nuances that come from caring for someone with multiple medications or health issues.
Regularly scheduled visits are available every month, but if emergencies happen or the need arises, the doctors are available to do same-day visits. If more medical care is needed than they can provide, the Boston Internists will refer you to some of the best specialists available in the world today. Not only does this provide highly personalized medical care, but it also helps speed recovery and build a trusted relationship between the resident and the doctors.
“Our partnerships with the Boston Internists, HouseWorks Home Care and Hebrew SeniorLife allow us to transform Waterstone at the Circle into a place where seniors can enjoy their retirement no matter how their health needs may change in the future,” says Jake. “As the premier luxury senior living community in the area, we understand the importance of choosing a place you love, and once you’ve found it, you don’t want to have to move again. At Waterstone at the Circle, you will truly be able to make this the location for the next chapter of your life while still receiving the personalized service and luxurious lifestyle you’ve become accustomed to.”
